Very nice overview of solar energy with lots of resources to check out. Last winter we installed an outdoor alternative fuel furnace to reduce our oil dependence. We are looking at solar and wind next to cut down on our electric costs. We are doing this both for our personal residence and for our apartment rentals.

The manual for the SOLO 15 says it can be directly connected to any portable Solaris panel … but 12volt batteries, including the SOLO 15, simply cannot handle a 26 volt charging current. That will ruin the battery, and I’ve already done that once …
